7 quick takes #1

So, since I write on my blog...pretty much never, I thought that I should. And even though I'm often thinking about lots, I don't usually know what to write. So this '7 quick takes' idea seems doable. I should be able to think of 7 things I'm thinking about.

1.  I have one day left at home before I leave for 5 weeks, with only one day at home in the middle. I'm excited and apprehensive, because I know it will be awesome and super fun, but I might mis changing diapers and stuff...never mind. I won't miss that. So I'm actually mostly excited!

2. I have one math test to write and one last project to hand in and then I'm done highschool forever. I don't know how I feel about that either. I'm happy because it means next year I can stop learning about things that nobody needs to know and bore me to tears, and start learning about the things that nobody needs to know but at least I still enjoy :)

3. If anybody didn't see the photo I posted last night on facebook, you should look. It's quite funny. I know I like green, but I didn't think my wardrobe was that monocromatic.

4. I like the Beach Boys.

5. I'm cleaning out under my bed, and now I really feel like I should be on hoarders. Seriously, it's kind of ridiculous. I've found about 20 books, three shoe-boxes,  clothes, an umbrella and, ready for this?... a package of squiggle straws with Justin Beiber's face on them. I can't believe I forgot about those. They will definitely be making an appearance sometime soon.

6. Cleaning my room is almost a teensy bit fun but mostly annoying and really dusty.

7. God is good.

Back to Blogland

The title of this post makes me think of the song "Back to Black" by Amy Winehouse...random, I know. But that's kind of what I do. One of my many useless talents is having a song for everything.

I've taken a hiatus from any serious blogging for almost a year. I think my problem with blogging is that I always stop myself from publishing anything because I think it has to have the ultra-important point. But recently, I've had some good fun reading blogs that are not super insightful, profound or even interesting. The charm for me is that they're just kind of pointless, and that makes them entertaining in a way.

It has inspired me into thinking that a little pointlessness can actually make life feel somewhat more purposeful. And that's good, because pointless is what I do best.

So I'm back. And anybody who cares to do so will soon be able to partake in some of my musings and hear about what goes on in the world of Emma.
